The Salt Spring Golf and Country Club is located mid island on 805 Lower Ganges Road. The nine-hole, par-36 course offers more than 3,000 yards of great golfing with a challenging layout, lush fairways and a gorgeous location close to the town of Ganges. You can whet your whistle afterwards at the in-house licensed restaurant or brush up your strokes at the driving range. There’s also a fully stocked pro shop. Tee times required. • The award-winning Blackburn Meadows Golf Course was Canada’s first organically maintained golf course. The par-32 facility offers nine holes with an exceptionally interesting course design that fully integrates the natural landscape. There’s a pro shop and light snacks available. • The Pender Island Golf and Country Club takes advantage of the island’s rolling terrain for a beautiful and challenging nine-hole course, with licensed restaurant and pro shop. 2305 Otter Bay Road. Phone (250) 629-6614.
• Gabriola Island’s golf course overlooks Hogan Lake, with two sets of tees providing 18 challenging holes. Located at 825 South Road, it has a licensed coffee shop and full-service clubhouse. Phone (250) 247-8822.
